Statement on Covid-19

March 14th, 2020 | Category: News

As things stand, and given current government guidelines, we will be continuing our clubs as normal unless you have been otherwise advised by the club leader. We will be including a few new measures in the way we operate. Children will be expected to wash their hands in school before they come to the club and have their snack, and we will be encouraging children to wash their hands as soon as they get home from the club. For the clubs that take public transport, we will have hand sanitiser for use after getting off the bus (if children have their own hand sanitiser to use that would be useful as supplies are limited). We would also ask all children to bring their own full water bottle to club, so that they can stay hydrated without using others’ bottles.

We, of course, ask that if your child shows any symptoms that you follow government guidelines and do not allow them to come to club. More information about Covid-19 can be found here https://www.nhsinform.scot/illnesses-and-conditions/infections-and-poisoning/coronavirus-covid-19

We’re sure you can all appreciate that the situation is changing quickly and under daily review by the government, so we will let you know how any major changes in the advice affect the clubs. It would be of huge help if everyone could check their emails regularly for updates from the club leaders.
