Holiday Wildlife Clubs 2018

 

 

Want to learn how to survive in the wilds? Summer may be over but there is still loads of fun to be had and new skills to learn, as this year we bring you a full week of bushcraft clubs. If shelters, knifework, fire making and more are your thing, these are for you! As usual there are limited places so book asap!

 

October Holiday Bushcraft Clubs 2018

Monday 15th October 1000-1700. Cramond Island Exploration
Wild foods, woodland/coastal exploration, staff/wand making (whittling skills), mammal tracking, shelter/camp building. Drop off and pick up at Cramond foreshore carpark next to Cramond Inn.
Tuesday 16th October 1000-1700. Craiglockhart Woodlands experience *
Wild foods, staff/wand carving, woodland exploration, shelters and more. Drop off and pick up on grassy area opposite Costa on St Andrews Square.
Wednesday 17th October 1000-1700. Cammo and River Almond experience
Wild foods, River exploration, staff/wand making (whittling skills), mammal tracking, shelter/camp building and fire making, raft building. Drop off at Cramond Brig (Miller and Carter), Pick up at Cammo Estate car park.
Thursday 18th October 1000-1700. Dalmeny Estate experience
Wild foods, woodland/coastal exploration, staff/wand making (whittling skills), mammal tracking, shelter/camp building. Drop off and pick up at ‘the seal’ across from the Hawes Inn at South Queensferry.
Friday 19th October 1000-1700. The Bonaly and Pentland Hills Exploration *
Wild foods, river exploration, staff/wand making (whittling skills), mammal tracking, shelter/camp building and fire making. Drop off and pick up on grassy area opposite Costa on St Andrews Square.

 

Costs for october clubs are £27 per child per activity.
Children must be aged 8+ to attend.
* clubs require £1.60 bus fares on the day please.

Payment should be made a week before first club is due to start. Cheques should be made payable to Earth Calling. Bank transfer is available on request.

Please make sure that your children are dressed appropriately for the Scottish weather and individual clubs. We recommend that spare clothes, towel and waterproofs are a permanent feature of their wildlife club back packs.
