Earth Calling was set up 8 years ago with the simple mission of helping young children to engage with, understand and appreciate their local environment by having hands-on fun within it.

Since then, we’ve set up a number of ‘real’ and ‘virtual’ groups aimed at P4-7 that could help inspire or develop your child’s interests.

Kids’ Den: A very safe online community for youngsters who are interested in their local wildlife and environment. It includes:

• a monitored, non real time message board
• constructive and challenging competitions

The aims behind it are simple:

• to give continued contact with experts, and with other kids with similar interests
• to encourage outdoor activity
• to give kids a chance to participate to real environmental surveys and activities and feel a rewarding sense of having made a difference
