Wildlife Club Activities Summer 2009

Mon 6th July: Tracks and Trails at Costorphine Woods. 10am-5pm - Become a wildlife detective with woodland explorations with a wildlife twist.
Tue 7th July: Coastal ramble from Aberlady bay to Gullane. 10am-5pm. - Through the dunes to the beautiful beach, so much wildlife to see.
Wed 8th July: Cycle Safari; Water of Leith to Colinton Dell or From South Queensferry to the Cramond Brig 10am-5pm. - Get fit and explore Edinburgh’s wildlife corridors.
Mon 27th July: Rosslyn Glen. 10am-5pm. - Magic, mystery and wildlife, what a combination.
Tue 28th July: Bushcraft and adventure at Dalmeny 10am-5pm. - Build shelters, use some tools, learn to make fire and cook yourself some food.
Wed 29th July: North Berwick 10am-5pm. - Rock pooling, beachcombing, and binoculars at this beautiful beach and a train trip as well.
Thu 30th July: Pentlands Hills 10am-5pm. - Wildlife adventure with reservoirs, rambles and amazing views.
Fri 31st July: Night time at Cammo. 7pm-10pm. - Bats, badgers, owls, foxes and torches, what more could you want from an night in the woods.
Mon 3rd Aug: Exploring Dalkeith Country Park 10am-5pm. - Its massive and full of cool things to see and do.
Tue 4th Aug: Cramond Island. 10am-5pm. - Follow the tide out and discover the islands wildlife and amazing history.
Wed 5th Aug: Boat trip to Incholm Island 10am-5pm. - Seals and maybe dolphins and an island to explore.
Thu 6th Aug: River exploration. 10am-5pm. - Wildlife adventure at the mighty water of Leith.
Fri 7th Aug: Trip to Aberdour. 10am-5pm. - Go on the train across the bridge, to explore the really cool beach.
Mon 10th Aug: Night time at Dalmeny beach 7pm-10pm. - Nocturnal ramble with a fire on the beach ...hurrah
Tue 11th Aug: Arthur’s Seat wildlife exploration 10am-5pm. - Exploring Edinburgh’s wildlife and geological past., and more of those great views.
Further information such as drop off and pick up times and places will be sent out in the weeks before the clubs are due to start. Times may vary for some of the clubs, depending on bus/boat/train times. Contact info@earthcalling.org or 01313126712 to book Costs are £26 per activity, £15 per night time activity. Discounts available for bookings of 5 or more activities.
Our aim is to offer children an intensive and immersive week of activities and experiences to satisfy and further stimulate their interest and understanding – as well as, of course, having lots of fun. We would encourage you to consider booking in for the whole week. However, we will do our best to accommodate those who can only come on particular days.
All Earth Calling group leaders are trained in health and safety assessment and first aid. All activities and locations are assessed for health and safety implications on the day.
All volunteers and staff have clean up-to-date enhanced police disclosures.
